Hello, everyone! We’re excited to share an update on our visual novel, Divine Wager: Love's Last Stand we wrote for the #SpooktoberVNjam!  

As we wait to see what everyone thinks of our game, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the journey we've been on as a team.

The Journey So Far

Creating Divine Wager has been an incredible experience, filled with both triumphs and challenges. From the start, we set ambitious goals and pushed ourselves to meet deadlines, knowing that we wanted to deliver a story that resonates with players. However, the journey hasn’t been without its struggles.

Overcoming Obstacles

One of the significant hurdles we've faced is managing our individual commitments alongside the game's development. With three collaborators—each with unique skills and responsibilities—scheduling became a complex puzzle. We learned to adapt our timelines and communicate openly, ensuring everyone was on the same page despite our busy lives.

Battling Illness

As if navigating deadlines wasn't enough, each of us faced health challenges at different times. Whether it was a cold, flu, or other unexpected ailments, we found ourselves needing to adjust our schedules and support each other through these tough moments. It was a reminder of the importance of self-care and the power of teamwork. Despite these setbacks, we rallied together, ensuring that our shared vision for the game remained intact.

Staying Motivated

During these challenging times, we found motivation in each other and in the project itself. The passion for our story—about love, sacrifice, and resilience—kept us moving forward. We leaned on our shared enthusiasm for Divine Wager, reminding ourselves why we started this journey in the first place.
